Do you believe in family abolition? And if so, do you think that after this has been achieved, that we should allow for the legalization of incestous relationships because terms such as "brother "sister" "mother" "father" will no longer have meaning?

dreamt i met justin mcelroy and for some reason thought it would be funny to make a joke about him being a podcaster with a doctor for a wife and a teen detective for a daughter (i do not actually know if his daughter is a teen yet). his response was, "oh, god, she's a detective now? no, no. she would definitely have told me." instead of clarifying that it was a joke i pointed out that teen detectives aren't historically well-known for involving their parents. "shit, you're right," he said, with the air of a man who has finally connected some dots and now everything makes sense. i woke up feeling vaguely guilty that i may have caused some kind of terrible misunderstanding in their household.
